Description
Nos. 12 and 14 Queen Street is a house, possibly a fragment of a larger structure, dating from the 17th century and now divided into two. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and a plinth, topped by a stone slate roof and featuring brick stacks. It has two storeys.
The main entrance to No. 12, located on the right, has a deep lintel and a chamfered surround, with a drip mould that extends over the rest of the ground floor. No. 12 also has a 19th-century window. No. 14 features a 19th-century doorway and one three-light double chamfered window, though the mullions have been removed. The first-floor windows have all been altered, except for a small fire window to the right of the door.
On the rear elevation, there is a fire window, a four-light window, and a two-light window on the ground floor, with the four-light window having two blocked lights. The first floor has two three-light windows, all of which are double chamfered and have drip moulds. The building has undergone some alterations over time.
