Description
Nos. 12 and 14 Chamber End Fold is a house that has been divided into two residences. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the early to mid-19th century. The building is constructed of gritstone rubble and features a graduated stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has two bays, with a large quoin on the right side.
The original entrance for No. 14 is on the left, featuring a boarded door set within an eared architrave that has a cornice and a recess above it. To the right, No. 12 has an inserted glazed door in a plain stone surround. The building has three original windows with architraves: one is a three-light window to the right of the original door, and there are two similar windows on the first floor, comprising three lights and two lights. Additionally, there is an inserted window in a plain stone surround on the far right. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
