Large detached Italianate villa. Mid C19. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roof. PLAN: Compact square block. EXTERIOR: Two storeys on entrance side, with third storey below terrace on garden front. Three windows, mainly four pane sashes. Road front has window replacing original central entrance, with flanking large arched lights, with keystones. West front has twelve pane sash and pedimented entrance, and south has three four pane sashes above large arched lights to terrace with solid balustrade, lower ground level has three bay arcade. Deep bracketed eaves on dentil bedmould, two ashlar stacks each end. Low pitched hipped roof. INTERIOR: Not inspected. One of group of four similar villas exploiting sloping sites with extensive views to south.
