Large detached villa. Mid C19. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roof. PLAN: Compact square Italianate villa with low-pitched hipped roof, and with added bay with flat roof to left. EXTERIOR: Two storeys and lower ground floor below terrace, three windows, all plain or four pane sashes, south front, away from road, has full height canted bays and central sash over glazed door. Terrace carried on five bay moulded arcade, with balustrade in Gothic detail with cusped openwork, and including small rose to centre. Road front has three plain sash, and central door below deep blank panel and floating cornice on consoles, with glazed canopy carried across to central gatepiers. To left extra bay has open loggia to ground floor, and left return has two light casement and four pane sash. Plain eaves band, deep eaves, and two ashlar stacks with cornices to each end. INTERIOR: Not inspected. One of group of four similar villas exploiting sloping sites with extensive views to south.
