Description

This house is part of a row, built around 1774, as evidenced by the lease dates of the neighbouring properties. It is constructed from squared and snecked stone with ashlar dressings, topped by a slate mansard roof. The two-storey building has an attic, and originally contained two windows, although these have been altered. Dormers with twelve-pane sashes are situated above the single and paired twelve-pane sash windows at the ground and first floors. A six-panel door is set within a moulded stone architrave and hood supported by consoles, located within the extreme right-hand bay of the property’s return to No. 1 Great Stanhope Street. The building has no visible chimney stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
