Detached house. Early C19. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar with hipped slate roof and two moulded ridge stacks flanking the door. PLAN: Double depth plan. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, symmetrical three-window front. Projecting eaves band, four/eight-pane sash windows to first floor, eight/eight-pane sashes to ground floor. Six-panel door under fine cast iron trellis porch with swept pavilion canopy. INTERIOR: Not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Front garden, approx 7m square, enclosed by ashlar wall approx 1m high flanking tall gatepiers with large rolled arrises to inside front corners, chamfered caps and `BEAUFORT COTTAGE' carved into them. Good wrought iron gate.
