Description

Two K6 telephone boxes are located outside Grosvenor House on Grosvenor Place. They were designed around 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and are made of cast iron. These kiosks are of the K6 or 'Jubilee kiosk' design, which is the standard Post Office telephone box. Each box features three sides with eight horizontal panes and margin glazing, with one side opening as a door while the rear wall is solid to accommodate telephone fittings. They have a shallow dome over the crown displaying the word 'TELEPHONE' in opal. Both boxes are noted for their significant group value.
