Description

A pair of houses dating to around 1840, with 20th-century additions. The houses are constructed from limestone ashlar with a hipped slate roof and a moulded stack on the party wall. Each house has double-depth plans and a single window range on each floor. Their facades are framed by a plain central pilaster and a platband. Plate glass sash windows are set within the platband. Single-storey porches to the side returns have cornices at platband level, low-coped parapets, and semicircular arched fanlights; No. 3 has a six-panel door and two panes to its fanlight, while No. 4 has a five-panel door. The interiors were not inspected but are noted to feature four-panel doors.
