Description

A pair of houses, built around 1840, with 20th-century additions. The houses are constructed of limestone ashlar and have a continuous hipped slate roof with moulded stacks to the party wall and gable ends. They have a symmetrical three-window arrangement to each front elevation. A continuous ground floor platband and plinth runs along the front, and the windows are plate glass sashes, with those on the first floor set at eaves level and those on the ground floor having bracketed sills. The front doors are four-panel doors with overlights. The left return is plain, while the right return has 20th-century windows. The interior has not been inspected. The houses have a single-depth plan with two-storey rear additions. Group value context.
