PULTENEY MEWS 656-1/32/1320 Office adjoining St John's Ambulance Headquarters (Formerly Listed as: PULTENEY MEWS St John's Ambulance Headquarters Works adjoining St John's Ambulance HQ) 05/08/75

GV II

Formerly three mews buildings, now one office. Early C19 with C20 additions. MATERIALS: Painted limestone rubble and render, each has hipped double Roman tile roof. PLAN: Double depth plans. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, two-window range. Block to left has C20 wooden external shutter to six/nine-pane sash window at eaves level, probably former loading bay, ground floor has fascia over C20 half-glazed timber infill. Central block has no windows to first floor, higher fascia over six-pane overlight to C20 six-panel door to left and six/nine-pane sash window to right. Right hand block has C20 full height timber infill to left with paired six-pane windows to each floor, to right are traces of blocked door, three-pane overlight remains. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
