Description

Arun House is a late 18th century building located on Denne Road. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows and two dormers. The exterior is finished in stucco with a slate roof. Each floor has two bays of three-light sash windows, with the glazing bars intact, except for those on the ground floor. The entrance includes a doorway with pilasters, a rectangular fanlight, and a hood above. Notably, Sir Bysshe Shelley, the grandfather of poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, lived here while Castle Goring in Worthing was being constructed.
