Description

17, The Causeway is an 18th-century building of two storeys and an attic, featuring two windows. The building is constructed of red brick and has a moulded wooden cornice and a brick parapet. The windows are bayed on both floors; those on the ground floor have casement windows, and the first-floor windows are sash windows with intact glazing bars. A six-panel moulded door is set beneath a broken curved pediment supported by brackets. A modern addition exists to the south-east, featuring an original red brick wall with stone cappings. The building forms part of a historically significant group together with other listed buildings in The Causeway, Market Square, and South Street.
