Description
The Bury is a late 18th century house, built around 1790, and is set back from the road. It features a stucco exterior and a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate, which includes two box dormers and a central pediment. The building has two storeys and attics, with a plinth and a parapet. There are five sash windows with glazing bars. The central porch is open and has a pediment, supported by columns with Tower of the Winds capitals and a modillioned cornice. The entrance includes a six-panel fielded door and a traceried fanlight, with a round window in the tympanum of the roof pediment. Inside, the hall and first-floor landing are adorned with ovolo panelling. The hall features two panelled elliptical arches on panelled Doric pilasters, and the staircase has cut spandrels, turned balusters, and a moulded handrail.
