Description

The White Hart Public House, recorded as The White Hart Inn in 1625, is an early 17th-century timber-framed building with a red brick ground floor. The building has old tiled roofs. It is two storeys high, with the first floor slightly overhanging the street on a moulded beam. The first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor windows are two-light. Number 34 projects with a wide brick gable and a single sash window. A mid-19th century shop front is present, featuring tall, slender mullions to six arched lights, topped by a frieze and cornice. A carriageway is located on the left side of the front facade. Numbers 30 to 40 form a group.
