Description

ORCHARD STREET 1. 972 (North-West Side) Nos 17 & 19 SU 8505 SE 1/338 5.7.50. II 2. Pair of late C18 houses. Double hipped red tiled roof. Tall brick stack at south end; another squarer one at north end. 2 storeys and basement. Small brick dentilled eaves cornice. Red brick. 2 windows each. Sash windows with flush boxes with glazing bars intact, Upper windows with flat arches; lower windows with segmental arches. Doorways up five steps with handrail; flat arched doorways with moulded architrave, entablature and rectangular pediment. 6 panel moulded doors; rectangular fanlight over.
