Description
These are two 18th-century buildings on West Street, noticeably lower than the adjacent number 29. They are two storeys and have an attic, with a single window on each floor. The roofs are tiled and gabled, each featuring a dormer window. The buildings are constructed of red brick and have a small cornice below the eaves, detailed with modillions. The windows are sash windows with flush boxes and flat arches; the glazing bars remain intact. The windows on the ground floor are surrounded by rubbed brick voussoirs. The doorways are framed with fluted details and have flat hoods above them. The recessed doors are six-panelled, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. These buildings are part of a group that includes the Church of St Peter (numbers 21 to 25), The John Edes House, and numbers 27 to 33.
