Description
No. 46 West Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. The exterior is made of painted brick and includes a projecting cornice above the first floor. Above this cornice, there is a curved pointed gable that houses the second-floor windows. The building has a tiled hipped roof at the back, which is topped with two tall narrow stacks located at the western end. The windows are sash style, set in reveals with flat arches, although the brick voussoirs above them have been painted over. The upper windows have thick glazing bars, while the ground floor windows have thinner glazing bars. A flight of four steps with an iron handrail leads up to the entrance door, which has four moulded panels and a top panel that is cut away and glazed. The doorway is adorned with a stepped architrave, a frieze, and a cornice above.
