Description
No. 50 on West Street is a building from the late 18th century, featuring a slightly higher frontage than its neighbor, No. 49. It has two storeys and an attic, topped with a tiled gabled roof. There are two flat-roofed dormers and large chimney stacks located at the rear. The building is constructed of red brick and has a brick dentilled cornice just below the eaves. The sash windows have flush boxes, flat arches, and rubbed brick voussoirs. On the first floor, there are two windows and one blocked window with grey headers, while the glazing bars remain intact. However, the glazing bars are missing from two ground floor windows. The central doorway features a door with six flush panels, with the top two cut away and glazed. Behind the doorway, there is another door set in reveals, which has a stepped architrave and a rectangular pediment above it.
