Description
No. 8 St John's Street is a late 18th-century building that stands three storeys high with a basement. It features three window bays and an adjoining two-storey annexe to the south, which has a lean-to roof and two window bays. The building is constructed of red brick and has a small brick dentilled eaves cornice on the northern part. The sash windows are set in reveals and retain their glazing bars, with painted brick voussoirs above. At the northern end, there is a doorway that includes a six-panel moulded door topped by a semi-circular fanlight with tracery. The door is set in panelled reveals and features a semi-circular arched doorway. The doorcase is decorated with engaged Doric columns on low plinths and a rectangular pediment with modillions.
