Description

1 New Town is an early 19th-century building that is part of the same block as No 17 St John's Street. It stands three storeys tall and features two windows facing New Town and one window facing St John's Street. The building is constructed of red brick and has a small cornice with modillions below the eaves. The sash windows are set in reveals and have slightly segmental arches, with all glazing bars intact. There is a blocked window opening on the second storey in St John's Street. The round-headed doorway includes a semi-circular fanlight and a six-panel moulded door. No 1 is part of a group with Nos 11 to 17 St John's Street.
