1 and 2 Friary Lane are 18th to early 19th century buildings featuring a tiled roof with two hips. There are small central brick stacks in front and one behind, along with a tall narrow stack at the southern end. The buildings are two storeys high and constructed of red brick. Number 1 has been recently refaced. Number 2 displays a small brick dentilled eaves cornice and has one sash window with a square head in shallow reveals both above and below, with intact glazing bars. The ground floor window has rubbed brick voussoirs, and both windows are fitted with modern shutters. In Number 1, there is a modern sash window above and below, with the lower window retaining its intact glazing bars. The doorways feature semi-circular arches with painted brick voussoirs, and the doors are set in reveals with semi-circular fanlights that have tracery above each door. Number 1 has a door with six raised and fielded panels, while Number 2 has a door with six moulded panels.
