Description

Nos 70 and 70B on Tarrant Street are late 18th century buildings with a whitewashed brick front and a hipped tile roof. They feature a rendered chimney and the east elevation is made of nodular flint with red brick dressings. The buildings stand three storeys tall. The ground floor has a modern shopfront, while the first floor includes a canted bay window with three double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars. On the second floor, there is one double-hung sash window with glazing bars. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 36 to 64 (even) and Nos 70 to 74 (even), along with Nos 83, 85, and 91 to 101 (odd).
