Description

No 20 Church Street is a cottage dated 1754, located in Shoreham-by-Sea. The building features coursed pebble construction with painted brick quoins and dressings. It has a painted brick cornice and a parapet above a slate roof, which includes a central brick chimney stack. The cottage is two storeys high and has a slightly irregular three-window front, with the central first-floor window being blocked. The ground-floor windows are glazing bar sashes with segment heads and raised keys. There is a panelled door with glazed top-lights and a flat hood supported by brackets above it. A keystone above the door is marked: c J E - 1754.
