Description

24 Church Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from coursed cobble with red brick quoins, a band, and dressings, which are painted around the windows. The house features a red brick eaves cornice and a slate mansard roof, with an end stack to the right and gabled dormers in the center and at the right. The building has two storeys and an attic, with an irregular arrangement of three windows, including an upright oval window on the left side of the first floor. The windows are sashes. There is a wide segmental arch that leads to a courtyard behind the house, and an off-centre segment-headed doorway with deep brick reveals to the right, which has a glazed door behind it.
