Description

Old Scantlings is a cottage located on the west side of Church Street in Shoreham-by-Sea, dating from the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of flint with rendered quoins and dressings. It features a coped parapet on a slate roof, which has large central gabled dormers and an end stack on the left side. The cottage has two storeys and an attic, with an irregular three-window front that includes casements set in wide rendered surrounds. The entrance is located to the left and consists of a panelled door within a moulded wooden surround, topped by a flat hood supported by brackets.
