Description

No 22 Church Street is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed cobble with red brick quoins, a band, and dressings, which are painted around the windows. The building features a red brick eaves cornice and a slate mansard roof, with an end stack on the right and a gabled dormer on the left. The house has two storeys and an attic, with three windows that are glazing bar sashes, featuring gauged heads that are segmental on the first floor. The central entrance includes a panelled door set in panelled reveals, topped by a transom light and a flat hood supported by brackets.
