Description

This granary, located 15 yards southwest of Whitmoor House, dates from the 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and is underbuilt in brick. The roof is half hipped, covered with plain tiles, and has a weathervane at the north end. The building is rectangular with two bays and has casement windows on either side of a central plank door, which is sheltered by a projecting gable hood supported by wooden brackets. There are wooden steps leading up to the door from the southeast corner. Both the north and south sides of the granary display Queen post trusses and corner bracing.
