Description
Broadoaks Model Dairy is an early 20th-century model dairy located on Parvis Road in West Byfleet. The building is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof with deeply overhanging eaves. The south side has a rectangular bay with a half-hipped roof, while the north side has a circular bay topped with a conical roof that includes a half-hipped ventilation lucarne and a timber-framed, louvered vent with a pitched tiled roof. The eaves are supported by timber posts, creating a verandah. There are opposing entrances that are sheltered by hipped roof porches on timber posts. The windows are 3 and 5-light timber transom and mullion casements with small leaded panes and ornate wrought iron fittings. The south facade features a full-height chimney breast and stack.
Inside, the cross-passage has a patterned floor made of white, grey, black, and yellow mosaic tiles. A similar floor is found in the circular room, which has plain white mosaic extending to full height, although the shelves are currently missing. There is a central ceiling vent. The rectangular room has white-tiled walls with a pale blue dado band and dark blue skirting band, along with a white mosaic floor.
