Description

Hoodsfield is a house dating from the 16th century, with later 19th-century and 20th-century extensions at each end. The house has a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill at ground level and rendered infill above. The extensions are built of brick and render. The roof is tiled, with a prominent ridge stack positioned to the left of the centre and a smaller stack at the right end. The central three-bay section has curved bracing and irregular casement windows. A central plank door is set within a gabled porch hood supported on wooden brackets, and includes glazing. A two-window extension projects to the left end, while a larger 20th-century extension is visible at the right end.
