Description

A late 19th-century dairy, situated within Norbury Park. The building is octagonal in plan, with an additional chamber projecting to the east. It is constructed of flint with red brick dressings, and has a tiled roof. The projecting chamber features a hipped roof with a metal finial, supported by wooden brackets. To the east is a half-glazed door within a square bay, flanked by sidelights. A wooden verandah surrounds the octagonal dairy, which incorporates an octagonal louvre for top lighting, and an ornamental cast iron weathervane. The interior of the dairy is tiled with white tiles, edged by a blue border. Three blue tiled panels are present, depicting pheasants, rabbits, and a dairymaid.
