Description

The entrance gateway and garden walls to Mickleham Cottage are located on London Road in Mickleham. The entrance gate is made of sandstone and features a Tudor style arch with a hood mould above and decorative elements in the spandrel. It has a crow-stepped parapet and a wooden panelled door. The gardens to the east and south-east are enclosed by 18th century red brick walls, one of which may have once belonged to the Old House. There is a low brick wall with coping and brick pilasters extending on either side of the western gateway, and on the south side, it extends as far as the wall that was formerly within the curtilage of the Old House.
