Description
The Running Horses Inn is an 18th-century coach and posting inn located on London Road in Mickleham. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring six windows and four hipped dormers. The front is made of painted brick, while the north side is weatherboarded. It has a hipped tiled roof, and the glazing bars are intact. There are three doorways, each with pilasters, a rectangular fanlight, and a projecting cornice. The central doorway has a door with six fielded panels, and the northernmost doorway is set within a trellised wooden porch. The entrance to the original stabling on the south side has been blocked and is now used for garage accommodation.
