Description

The Mickleham Hall Cottages and Mickleham Post Office form an 18th-century block situated behind the Running Horses Inn on London Road. The building is two storeys and has an attic. The north-facing elevation has four windows and two dormers, while the west-facing elevation has eight windows and two gabled dormers. Constructed primarily of red brick with grey brick headers, the building features a string course. The west front is finished with a parapet. The windows are relatively narrow with segmental heads, retaining their original glazing bars. A man named James Mill once resided in a house at the rear of the Running Horses Inn, and it is possible that the building was one of these.
