Description
The Dairy at Home Farm is a model dairy building from the late 19th century, representing a scheme of agricultural improvement. It features a single-storey octagonal plan and is constructed from brick, which is pebbledashed and colourwashed, topped with a concrete tile roof. The building has a brick plinth with ashlar sills, lintels, and jambs. There is a chamfered ashlar doorway on the east side, which is lined with oak and has a rectangular leaded overlight above it. The façade includes seven single leaded iron frame casements set in chamfered surrounds. Inside, the dairy has a close boarded ceiling, a dado, and a quarry tile floor.
