Description

Rose Cottage, Hawthorn Cottage, Myrtle Cottage, and their outbuildings are a group of three estate cottages built around 1900. They are constructed of brick with red brick quoins and have a hipped plain tile roof featuring swept valleys, moulded and dentillated eaves, and two large octagonal ridge stacks along with one smaller central stack. The design includes a central block with projecting wings and all windows are set in recessed bays.

The cottages are single storey with attics and consist of four bays. The left wing features a half-glazed door with a rectangular overlight on the right and two glazing bar sash windows on the left. Above this, there is a single gabled dormer with a pediment and two light glazing bar casements. The left end of the wing has a central half-glazed door flanked by single glazing bar sashes, with a similar dormer above.

The central block has an off-centre half-glazed door with an overlight, flanked by single glazing bar sashes, and a further similar sash to the right. Above, there are four flat-roofed leaded dormers with two light glazing bar casements. The right wing includes a half-glazed door with an overlight on the left and two glazing bar sashes on the right, with a gabled dormer above. The right end features a central circular louvred opening and a single gabled dormer above.

Outside, there are two matching square brick outbuildings with pyramidal plain tile roofs and central stacks.
