Description

This is a 16th-century barn located opposite Isemonger Farm House on Peaslake Road in Ewhurst. The barn is timber framed and sits on a cement plinth, featuring weatherboard cladding and a plain-tiled roof that is hipped with a gablet on the right side. It consists of three framed bays, with a window on the right, a blocked window on the left, and double doors at the center. Inside, there are jowled main posts with arch bracing, wind bracing in the roof, and a queen-post clasped purlin roof. The barn was moved and re-erected in 1900.
