Description

This is a two-storey, three-window cottage dating from the 16th or early 17th century, built in timber frame and of a shallow U-shape, positioned sideways to the road with a connecting section at the north end supporting a large compound chimney stack. The cottage has a high-pitched tiled roof, with fishscale tile hanging on the upper portion and large malmstone rubble with red brick infilling on the north wall. Modern, small-paned casement windows are set beneath old brick hoodmoulds. A south extension, dating from the early 20th century, features brickwork below and half-timbering above.
