Description
The Georgian Hotel consists of two buildings, with the main building dating from the 18th century. It is three storeys tall with an attic and features five windows, two gabled dormers, and is constructed of painted brick. The building has stringcourses and a dentilled eaves cornice, topped by a hipped tiled roof. The front is flanked by pilasters, and the central window bay projects, adorned with a broken pediment above it. There is a half-octagonal porch supported by fluted columns and a parapet, and the glazing bars are intact.
The north building was likely used as stables in the past. It is a timber-framed structure that has been refronted with painted brick, standing two storeys high with six windows and a tiled roof. This building features modern windows and includes a carriage archway with a segmental tympanum above it. There is an additional window bay beyond the archway that is not timber framed. A photograph of the hotel is available in the National Monuments Record.
