Description

The Small House is a probably 17th century timber-framed building located on the east side of High Street. It has two storeys and features two windows. The house has a fairly high-pitched tiled roof, with the first floor banded tile hung and red brick below, giving it a 19th century appearance. A full-width tiled pentice supports an open porch and gallery, with a square bay window above, and another similar bay window under a gable. To the right, above a carriageway, there is a tile-hung, tile-roofed first-floor room that connects the house to No 72. Inside, some timber framing is visible, including a notable ceiling beam with an ogee chamfer.
