Description
Haslemere Museum consists of three separate but adjoining buildings. The southernmost building is a substantial late 18th century house that has two storeys and seven bays, with the three central bays featuring a full height cambered projection. The front is stuccoed with a plinth and quoins, and it has a wood moulded and dentilled cornice. The roof is swept and tiled with a moderate pitch, featuring a modern flat central dormer. The windows are sash style with glazing bars.
The next section is two storeys high with three windows and dates from around 1800. It has a low pitched hipped slate roof and a wood moulded and dentilled cornice, which is likely a modern feature that unifies the buildings. This section is also stuccoed with recessed sash windows that have glazing bars.
The northern building has the appearance of being from the 18th century, with two storeys and two windows on the first floor, and one wide window below. It is stuccoed with a brick dentil cornice and has a hipped tiled roof. This building may have once served as a stable.
