Description
Puckshot Cottage is part of Puckshot Farm, a restored timber-framed hall house dating from the late medieval period. It is two storeys high with three windows. The roof is long and hipped, tiled, with gablets. Some timber framing remains visible, particularly on the left return, with infill consisting of plaster and whitened rubble stone. Small 19th-century and modern casement windows are present. Modern extensions are located at the south end of the building. The roof is not accessible, but the interior reveals sturdy, large timber framing, including jowled posts, a raised ceiling in the centre bay, and some good double crowsfoot carpenters marks.
