Description
This is a circa 1870 lodge, located to the west-north-west of Lythe Hill House, with attached gates and piers. The lodge is L-shaped, with a two-storey section and a single-storey section. It has high-pitched tiled roofs and a banded tile hanging on the first floor, featuring a bellcast design. The ground floor is constructed of snecked freestone with quoins. The windows are small casements. The lodge has tall brick chimneys. The gable end of the two-storey section is decorated with pargetting, incorporating a monogram and strapwork. A carved timber porch features at the entrance. The gate piers are tall brick and support elaborate wrought iron gates featuring scrollwork and griffins.
