Description
Skitreadons is a probably late 16th century two-bay house featuring a central smoke bay where a chimney stack was added later. The building has square timber framing with some diagonal braces and queen strut roof trusses. Inside, remnants of smoke-blackened plaster from the smoke bay can still be seen. The exterior presents as a two-storey structure with two windows and a steeply pitched, hipped tiled roof. The top of the chimney stack has been rebuilt. The first floor is tile hung, while the visible framing below is filled with brick and sits on a brick plinth. The house has casement windows and includes rear extensions.
