Description

The boundary stone located in the grounds to the east of Haslemere Museum dates back to 1814. It was part of a survey conducted by J. Perry, during which the boundaries of the manor were perambulated by the Leet Jury. A total of 31 marker stones were established, each measuring one foot square and standing 3 feet 6 inches tall. This particular stone is marked with "B.H." on the top and is numbered 26 on its outer face. Very few of these original stones remain.
