Description
Collards is a timber-framed house dating from around 1600. It has been refronted with painted brick at the bottom and fishscale tiling on the upper part. The house features a high-pitched, hip-ended tiled roof with a ridge stack. There are two front gables adorned with 19th-century bargeboards. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three windows. A modern gabled porch and modern casement windows are present, except for one window above the porch, which has a concave diamond shape. At the rear, there is a long left wing that shows visible timber framing; this wing was once an outhouse but now appears to be part of the main house.
