Description

The Sussex Barn is a Grade II* listed barn dating from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame set on a sandstone plinth, with brick on the left side and clad in tarred weatherboard. The roof is half-hipped and covered with plain tiles, extending down in a catslide over the aisle at the courtyard front. The barn has a large hipped roof projection with full-height wagon doors in the center, and additional doors on the right and left.

Inside, the barn has diagonal bracing in the wall frame and queen post trusses spanning five bays.
