Description

This is a bridge built around 1897, located over a lane from Witley Park. It is constructed of stone and features an elliptical arch with a panelled soffit. The sides of the bridge are adorned with scrolls, and there is a plain band with dentilled mouldings at the base of the iron railings, which have scroll standards and urn finials. The bridge has square piers at each end and D-shaped coping on the balustrade. It is one of several features in a park designed by F. Paxton-Watson for the financier Whitaker Wright.
