Description
Goose Cottage is a house dating from the early 16th century, with later 18th and 20th-century additions. The house is timber-framed and has a colourwashed brick base, with colourwashed rendered infill above the timber frame on the rear wing. The roof is tiled, with a hipped roof to the left. The building has a T-shaped plan and sits at a right angle to the road. It originally featured three framed bays. A multiple ridge stack is located to the left of the centre front, and another stack is on the right side of the rear wing. The upper floor has three casement windows, while the ground floor has two windows. A hip-roofed porch constructed from red brick is situated on the ground floor to the left, with a door set within the right side, sheltered by a flat-hooded overhang supported by posts. There is a gable end facing the street to the right, featuring a crown post roof frame and passing braces to the first floor. A wing extends to the right, with leaded casement windows.
