Description

Pond Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with a 19th-century extension on the right end. The building is timber framed, covered in whitewashed brick at the bottom and tile hung above, sitting on a rendered plinth. It features a plain tiled, half-hipped roof, with the extension set back to the left and weatherboarded on a brick plinth. The house has two storeys and a ridge stack located to the left of the centre. There are two windows on the first floor to the right and three 20th-century windows on the ground floor. A door is positioned to the left of centre within a gabled brick porch. Inside, the frame of the partition walls is exposed, and there is a cambered tie beam on the first floor, along with a pentice at the rear.
