Description

Frith Cottage is a house with a core dating back to the 16th century, which was extended in the 17th century and underwent further additions and alterations in the early 20th century. The building features a timber frame that is exposed on the right-hand return front, with colourwashed infill. The front is refronted in blue and brown brick, while the centre left has whitewashed render and the left end has a brick gable. The roofs are plain tiled, hipped, and step down to the left.

The cottage is two storeys high with an attic in the large gable at the centre, two storeys to the right, and one storey with an attic to the left. There is a 17th-century stack to the right of centre and a rear stack to the left. A blue brick band runs over the ground floor to the right. The ground floor on the right side of the large gable features three leaded casement windows. The gable jetties on the first floor and has ogee and pierced bargeboards. There is one 3-light leaded window in the attic, a first-floor casement, and two 2-light windows with cambered heads on the ground floor. To the left, there are two flat-roof leaded dormers and one four-light window on the ground floor. The door is located to the right of centre under the main stack and is sheltered by a flat-roofed porch.
